Frogs was recorded on a small lake in Italy, with a surrounding rich soundscape of mating frogs, birds and waterfalls. This dense, complex and ever changing sound mass kept providing material that was incorporated and transformed by the two improvisors in a very personal way. Between soundscape composition and free improvisation, Frogs expresses a musical complicity that has been cultivated for ten years of diverse collaborations and friendship. It is a highly meditative recording, where the careful listening of the natural ambient sounds of the lake are the triggers for an inner reflexion.
