Album Info

Release Date: 2024

Label: Jigit

'Alzheimer Cultural', the artistic project, was a curious and ingenious collaboration from the late 20th and early 21st centuries, blending radio, music, and dark humor by Venezuelan composers and multi-instrumentalists Paul Desenne, Alonso Toro, and Pedro Vásquez.

'Alzheimer', the album, was also created, arranged and recorded by Desenne, Toro, and Vásquez (with several virtuoso guest musicians) in Caracas, Venezuela, between January 1997 and 9/9/99. It was finally released on CD in 2001. This is the first vinyl edition of that remarkable and unclassifiable album, now released by Jigit Records.

Features liner notes in Spanish by Paul Desenne and includes a small 2-page insert with new notes by Alzheimer Cultural and Jigit Records.

*Note on misprints for this release:
On the back cover and labels, Tracks A5 and B1 are listed as '5. Raga Cahambur' and '6. Gaitón,' respectively (as in the original CD tracklist). However, on the LP, these tracks are swapped—this decision was likely made due to vinyl side time constraints.

Recorded at Estudio Alonsound, c.a.
"Agradecemos a muchas personas."
