Album Info

Release Date: 2013-07-15

Label: Not On Label

Released through Phil Western's bandcamp.
Track 2 is 24 Bit, 44.1 kHz.

Originally this was a single track release, but on July 23rd, 2018 track 2 was added, the cover was changed for the whole release (the original artwork is still retained for just track 1), and the note on the release page was modified. Phil posted about this on Facebook (at https://www.facebook.com/phillipwestern/posts/10155293332197271) stating: "If you happen to like the recording called “iso Lo fi” that I released a couple of years ago, I have uploaded a new alternate mix of the piece with very reduced noise - it is free so feel free to download it and compare it with the old version :)"

Original note on the release page: "This album was recorded when I returned from Los Angeles in 2009 and all I had was an 8 track cassette recorder and some pedals and my guitar. This was the result.

This recording is free, but you can pay something if you wish.

When I returned from Los Angeles in 2009 to Vancouver, I had no equipment at all at my house. I ended up buying some guitar pedals and an 8 track cassette recorder and decided to fill up one side of a cassette. The tape ran at double speed in the machine so what you end up with here is about a 20 minute continuous composition, complete with tape hiss, sloppy pause edits, and other idiosyncratic mistakes. However, it may be pleasing to some to just put this on and kind of drift away......"

When track 2 was uploaded, the first portion from the original note was moved to cover the entire release and the remaining portion was left on just track 1.
A note was also added for track 2: "Remixed with noise reduction"
