"All songs were recorded in Tenterfield, New South Wales, Australia. "Hey Gus" was recorded in a freezing shed in 1996. "Holding Hands So Tight It Hurts" and "How Babies Are Born" were recorded to DAT on Halloween night 1999. The rest were recorded in the long time in between."

"Sun comes up and falls down again all over the world and these are our days and each time this happens we only get one try or else we're asleep and this happens only so many times and sooner or later we're dead and I say to my friends we can do anything or we can die trying and what the fuck man we're gonna die anyway so let's have some fun in the meantime and they look at me like I'm crazy most of the time but sometimes I see their eyes shine and they smile and they say "yeah, yeah" and they see past this big horrible Nazi world and we're like elves or children, and then man, we know we live forever and we are all such good people with no sin or doubt and God loves us and we can do no harm, but yeah, we might get hurt, and we might die just when we were having the most fun. That's OK."
