The release includes a kind of medley mix. All tracks are concatenated in one mix with an ongoing beat.

Former Tape One studio manager and engineer David Moore remixed the tracks in 1981/1982 for Erskine Thompson, at that time working in A&R at WEA, to promote Prince in the UK club scene. The remix was declined by Warner Bros. Records (US).

The un-edited version Prince - Mix (B4 Edits!) has a longer mix. The excerpt from "I Wanna Be Your Lover" is extended.

The release comes with a generic sleeve by Tape One with an embossed logo on the front.
