The outstanding instrument used by Janine Jansen is the "Barrere" by Antonio Stradivari (Cremona, 1727), on extended loan through the intermediation of the Stradivari Society ® of Chicago and the Elise Mathilde Fund. The Stradivari Society ® is a unique organisation that supports the very highest level of string playing by assisting Patrons who own the most precious antique Italian instruments and who choose to make them available to artists of exceptional talent and ability.
