The Lone Ranger by Quantum Jump

Artists

Album Info

Release Date: 1976

Label: The Electric Record Company

This is the first pressing of this single. It was repressed as WOT 2, see Quantum Jump - The Lone Ranger. Both WOT 2, and WATT 2 have the runout matrix WATT-2A-1 and 'Hi Yo Porky awayyyyyy' ('A' side) / Pecko ('B' side), so both sides were the same cut made by the legendary George Peckham (Apple Records UK 1968 - 1974).

It would seem that the WATT label prefix changed to WOT soon after the label's launch in 1976, as only WATT 1 and WATT 2 exist in this format. All subsequent releases 3 to 36 have the WOT prefix. It is, therefore estimated that the second press (WOT 2) is circa 1977, and definitely long before the 1979 'WOT 33' re recorded re released version.

This track was rerecorded (different version) in 1979, when it was reissued as WATT 33, with a different 'B' side [The Seance (Too Spooky)] and also issued as a 12 inch 45 LWOT 33, with another different 'B' side [Neighbours]. This was available in both blue and black vinyl, with and without picture sleeve Quantum Jump - The Lone Ranger, Quantum Jump - The Lone Ranger and Quantum Jump - The Lone Ranger

General release. The other WATT 2 (The Lone Ranger) is a promo.
