Box set contains remastered album from 1987 and a live CD originally recorded on 14 Sep 1987 in Utrecht for broadcast purposes.
Track 2-20 was previously released in 1988 as a 8:21 version called "Time After Time Etc." on the 1988 Finest Worksong 7" single. That version is an extended form of "So. Central Rain" preceded by part of "Time After Time" and a snippet of Peter Gabriel's contemporaneous "Red Rain" It was later included on several R.E.M. compilations.

Box also contains a poster, 4 photo cards each featuring a band member, and a booklet with liner notes and credits.

Original release was mastered at Masterdisk, NYC. Reissue was (re)mastered at Capitol Mastering, Hollywood.
