I first heard the Saskatchewan duo Kacy & Clayton when they opened for The Milk Carton Kids in Northampton, MA in 2015; I was so enchanted by them, I ended up getting tickets for their show in Boston the next night. I ended up knee deep in their album 'The Day Is Past And Gone,' which is where I found "Rocks and Gravel." There was this natural, timeless quality to it - I was certain it was a traditional song they must have dug up. I was wrong. I felt instantly connected with this gem of a song and worked up my own take that I've been performing in my solo sets in the years since.

This is the third in a string of singles I will be releasing this summer of staple covers I play at my solo shows.
