"another principle of our private releases is to let you hear what would otherwise have stayed on the cutting floor, as it were. so to speak. we debated long into the mancunian night, stoned as mongooses, about the content and sequencing of the last 'un, which you've all got by now, obviously. so here's the rest of the finished stuff that would have took us into triple album territory if we hadn't pruned. these four were recorded during the "borrowed atoms" sessions and went through the same rigorous post-production as the commercial cd; that's to say you aren't being fobbed of with leftover shite- this is all top-notch stuff, just like all our albums, and should be seen (or heard) as a companion set."
