Gatefold cover with libretto and liner notes inside.
The gatefold cover is an early somewhat experimental design with a wide 1/2" printed spine and tight record pockets made to hold the records without inner sleeves.
Originally released on red vinyl like most of the early Lyrichords.
The full length recording was later re-cut to a single 12" disk with finer microgroves and released as LL97 with matching green cover and with the libretto printed on back cover, continued on a single page 11x11" insert - see Paul Hindemith, Frances James, George Brough, Rainer Maria Rilke - Das Marienleben (Life Of The Virgin Mary)
