Diverse effectssuch as head movements, breathing techniques or methods of striking the holes add to this tonal richness. The recording "Zen Shakuhachi" is a collection of ancient pieces, composed about 400 years ago. The music draws one toward introspection, meditation and a peaceful state of mind. Their sound was simple yet sublime."
