The record release was announced in the Caracas newspaper El Nacional on July 4, 1969, therefore it cannot be 1968 as was previously entered for the first edition of the LP. This edition is one that Ray Pérez himself released and so cannot be 1968 either. However, since there is no date listed, it's better to leave it as undated. A photo of the newspaper clipping for the Velvet release can be found in the informative blog article by Gherson Maldonado, Caracas, Venezuela, titled Hemeroteca de la Música Popular en Venezuela. Maldonado has excellent credentials and his writing is backed with actual historical evidence like press citations and first person interviews. It can be found here:
