We were very honoured when Ad van Beerendonk asked us to play with him and Johnny van Bredam in Gent, Belgium during ten days in July, 1985.

This trip appeared to be such a success, that the band decided to make a recording.

This "First Distillation" not only is the beginning for the Red Roses Jazz Distillery, but also our start as New Orleans musicians.
