I based the programme around the Jack Johnson radio shows of the 1950s and early 60s in the UK and I still think it's the greatest format ever and one adopted by the late great Kenny Everett. It's a radio format given half the chance I would do again, and indeed 'Rick's Place' for Planet Rock and it's original owners came very close."
