The following notes are speculation on my part so any input is welcome - this white label came to us in an Arawak diecut with the Library Parade address which I think would predate the bootleg issues of this 12". It has the matrix numbers JIH 2002A and JIH2002B scratched in the runout which are as used by Black Rose for the later Risco releases, it also has Soundwave stamped in the runout on both sides. Soundwave mixed or remixed a number of Studio One and other reggae related releases including Greedy G which also has the stamp. The timings are slightly longer than those listed for the stock issues - around 7.35 for the both sides. Arawak had an office in Brooklyn when this was originally released so I speculate that this was possibly sent over to the UK prior to the Arawak release or a few white labels were sent out here before the official Arawak release. I don't have a stock copy here to compare timings and if anyone knows if the bootleg has a Soundwave stamp please correct.
