Addicted to Drama: The Debut EP Release from Rob Marr

The summer before last singer and pianist Rob Marr was attacked while walking homethrough the wilds of London's New Cross. The muggers got seven quid and a very strongpair of prescription glasses. Rob got concussion, a night in hospital and a small but usefulfistful of cash in compensation. During the following weeks, while lying on a mate's sofa spoon-feeding his brain cartoons, Rob decided to fulfil a long-held ambition and use the money to make a record.

The result had its first live outing at the Roundhouse where Rob was joined by JamieMorrison from The Noisettes on drums and eighties legend Rick Astley on acoustic guitar.The stage was filled with washing and plant pots, and punters were served tea andBattenberg cake by a lady in a pinny.

Addicted to Drama is a limited edition EP, telling kitchen-sink tales of heart-bending lovetriangles, safety pins and a long, dirty weekend in a lighthouse keeper’s cottage by thesea, with six beautiful girlfriends. It’s almost a true story…
