The first official release of this soundtrack originally slated to be released by Miramax Films on their on own label, Miramax Records.
A limited number of this release along with "The Shipping News" by Christopher Young were produced for public release until Milan Records then officially produced both albums in early 2002. A subsequent number of these CD's featured a " For Promotional Use" sticker over the bar code area also stating "Not For Sale". Both label releases are exactly identical in content.

This release comes in a digipak and artwork is almost entirely different from the subsequent Milan Records releases. This version comes with a fold out booklet contained inside the jacket of the digipak.
