The long-awaited 2nd studio album by the trio of Triple H, IKONIZE, & Rubidium Rings is back with "C/O/M/M/U/N/I/C/A/T/I/O/N/S". 12 new songs, each with a different sound and story to tell."We wanted to make a fun satirical project that, while having a different sound than R/A/D/I/O/W/O/R/L/D, has the same enjoyable vibe that we created back in February deep into Covid. While Triple H's songs are more lighthearted and fun, I wanted to delve more into a darker aspect, and the last 2 songs reflect my idea perfectly.
"Release?" was a song IKONIZE had in mind for a while. They've been releasing so much these past months and they felt like they needed a break. Though there was a voice in their mind telling them to keep releasing, like a deadline.
"Sword Inside The Stone" was definitely the hardest song to make on the album. Triple H and I wanted to make a song essentially about a worker who's an annoying procrastinator and their boss hates them with a burning passion. We wanted to make another instrumental similar to "The Man's Addiction To The Chase" and it took quite a while. Experimenting with random clanks and booms eventually led us to the ominous "woooh" you hear throughout the song.
"Slower And Slower" was the original outro for the album. Triple H & IKONIZE sent me the first instrumental half and asked me if I could add anything onto it and I responded with the ambient half you hear now. They loved it and asked me to write lyrics. The song is about a man who's on a murderous rampage and after killing a certain victim and dying in the process, their life slows to a halt.
"C/O/M/M/U/N/I/C/A/T/IO/N/S L/O/S/T" was an old cinematic demo I've had in the works for a while that I showed to Triple H a long time ago. The day before we released the album, Triple H mentioned to me that they felt the album didn't feel "completed" and was scrolling through old demos of ours and found this song, which he loved so much he asked if he could put it on the album.
More music coming soon. Thanks to all." -Rubidium Rings
