The album takes place in the desert region that sits adjacent to the icy tundra plagued by eternal snowstorms; a byproduct of the Moon Cataclysm that tore the world apart years ago.The desert is humanity's last vigil against The Moon... as it lies dormant, the scattered towns below live normal lives, some still affected by the cataclysm...
Near the town of Salton, an observatory sends out a distress signal to any remaining humans in The Void Above...
On occasional rainy nights, the youth of the town explore abandoned structures along the only road in and out of the area...
..."I envy the youth here, they never had to grow up with all of this"...
Once a year, The Moon chants out from the void... the event draws many of those who pass through the area, including the wanderers, who believe the way of life in Salton is derived from an irrational fear of The Moon...
Recently, the town & the observatory studied the old texts and built one last vehicle... to end The Moon's reign once and for all...
A final, one-way ascension for those who were brave enough...
