Label: Cordelia Records

"This tape was recorded via the mixing desk by the soundman at the venue where Ruth's Refrigerator played in Heidenheim, Germany in 1992, and is of historical significance. The band never played together again after the end of this short tour of Germany (our last concert was about five days after this one at the Köln Underground) and this is probably the only record of the band playing the songs that would have been on our third album, if we'd ever recorded it.
My songs - "seven men" (this version with lyrics by Ruth Miller), "This cigarette works like an aerial", "Lady with a squirrel", "Hell with no sun cream", "Best, McLeod, Banting and their dog, Margery", and "The Eagle wants my Stereo" were recycled, mostly with new lyrics, for The Cream's "Ie" album. There are two new songs by Terri Lowe here - "Marmalade" and "No Man's Land" and as I recall we played another one by him plus two songs by Ruth which aren't on the tape - presumably we played them in between "The eagle wants my stereo" and "A science bar" - there's a gap of about 20 or 30 minutes there before the soundman noticed that the first side of the cassette ran out.
The first six tracks on the tape are quite heavily distorted but half way through "This Cigarette" the sound man spots that the levels are in the red and turns them down, the quality is much better after that."
