notes from the release page "this mixtape was made a while back, around 2017ish.. before the SDEM 12" for CPU.. it was intended for release on a cassette, but for reasons now unclear it was decided to shelve it and then somehow it was forgotten about.. however it had been sent to philip washington aka cygnus (cygnusat.bandcamp.com) , who had not forgotten about it and had surreptitiously passed it to autechre..some years passed and then during the Great 2020 CoronaVirus™ Lockdown, autechre did a DJ stream on mixlr, where this mix was played out in full and i was reminded that it existed ... niceonæ
The mix preceeds the CPU / Opal Tapes / Seagrave SDEM releases so theres a bit of crosstalk : it includes a different version of BX16 which was on the CPU 12 shop.cpurecords.net/album/index-hole (maybe BX12 or 13?) , it also includes alternate VERSIONS of CS01, 969696 & cadamium which appear on the seagrave album 'ZNS' ... seagrave.bandcamp.com/album/zns
