From the insert "The group Sabiá takes its name from a South American bird whose song announces the spring. It's members are Cindy and Libby Harding, Mari Riddle, Reyes Rodrigues, César Torres, and Erika Verba. Cindy, Libby, and Erika first came in contact with Latin American music while working with Latin communities in their home cities of LA and Boston. For Mari, a Chicana from Texas, and Reyes and César, both Mexicans, this music is part of their cultural heritage. With considerable folk and classical training, they bring their musical experiences together to express their love and respect of Latin American culture, and their solidarity with their struggle for human rights and self- determination of its people's."
