From the back cover:"Since its premiere in concert in November of 1966, the Santa Clara Chorale has achieve an extraordinary reputation as a large and vital musical asset to the Santa Clara Valley, regularly drawing standing-room-only audiences. One of the few non-professional community groups in America ever to be invited to give a European concert tour, the Chorale represented the City of Santa Clara in concert to some of the major cities of Europe in 1969. Under the direction of the University of Santa Clara's outstanding young composer-conductor Lynn Shurtleff, the Chorale is presently preparing for a United States concert tour scheduled for the summer of 1972.
