"wysiati" contains fragments of srh's video and sound installation „we are ghosts“.
From Slow Tone Collages Bandcamp-Site: "I have worked on "wysiati„ whilst the preparation for my album „Avant la lettre“ (recently released on „Rottenman Editions“), even if the pool of files and sound fragments has been a complete different one both musical strings happened simultaneously and formed points of contact. Nevertheless „wysiati“ was composed as a „stand-alone“ piece of music. Never meant to be part of an album or part of an overlapping context. Normally my music is combined with art projects or something like that which gathered under a greater chapter. „Wysiati“ was not. But I wasn’t happy with the fact that it stood alone in the end. And after some rumination I remembered "smooth composure" from Andreas Usenbenz founder of the record label „klanggold". A piece of ambient music I really like a lot and that has never been officially released. And I thought it would be a great idea to put these two long form pieces together. To do a split album by the way was a wish I carried in mind a long time before but I thought I hadn’t made the right track yet to share and combine it with some musician I like.
I always try to surprise myself with the things I am doing. And I try to create a prosperous dialogue between the ideas which come to life and diffuse in my mind. I try to react on the reaction in a resonating way without repeating myself (too much) or getting trapped by adaptation. Surely it is great to have an own styl. To be recognised. But I can’t stand the feeling to remain static or build redundancy in a creative process even if something nice is going to appear. It is really important for me to evolve. My albums, long form tracks, collages of shaped sound artefacts e.g. are something like a short story for me: a detailed view of my current life or the vivid thoughts that distinguish unavailable words. Storys that rise through flouncing tongues without the ability to borrow a common speech but being their own instead."
