Detroit house veteran Scott Grooves is about to release a cassette compilation on his own Natural MIDI imprint.

Natural MIDI Collection will feature mostly material that was already out, but only on vinyl, along with a couple unreleased bonus tracks. Grooves handled the manufacturing himself with a Telex cassette duplicator, explaining in an email to RA, "Nobody does tapes in Detroit anymore, so I have no choice but to do it myself." The compilation will be released as a limited-edition tape on Cassette Store Day—this Saturday, September 27th. Grooves also has revealed, via his Bandcamp page, a digital version (with a full stream) of Natural MIDI Collection that he says will be available "for a limited time." He's working on a cassette-inspired T-shirt as well.
