Born In Sorbolo, a little country near Parma, Italy, Sergio Farina began trumpet studies at the Conservatory of music in Milan but afterwards he will prefer the guitar and with this instrument he began sittin in with various Italian jazz groups and come to the attention of critics and public for his young-looking talent & ability. Sergio Farina played with Gerry Mulligan, Deodato's orchestra in Venice and with other numerous stranger artists. As arranger Farina has recorded with Italian top singers as Mina, Milva, Gaber, Jannacci, etc. and worked for radio and television. As guitarist, Sergio Farina shows extraordinary capacity. He communicates emotion with immediate impact and warm sensitivity. In this "PRESSING LIFE" album Farina plays very well in the contemporary sound style and confirm to be one of the today unusually stimulating guitarrist of the Italian scene.
