Dallas-based Shabazz 3 originally released its only LP, 2000’s “Late Nite With Shabazz 3,” on CD and double vinyl on the group’s own Longevity Records, with minimal distribution. Released as a limited run of 300, the album has since become a collector's item, selling for US$200+ on the secondary market. Fusing elements of jazz and hip-hop, the album is recommended for those who like golden-era ’90s West Coast hip-hop such as the Pharcyde and Souls of Mischief.
