"You Are Me" marks the ninth release in the Shawn Nelson Music catalog and it was inspired by a year long Tuesday Night Residency at the second oldest venue in Austin, The Hole In The Wall. The album includes some new songs, two cover songs from Townes Van Zandt and The Carter Family and acoustic takes on previosuly released songs.

It's all strings and songs featuring Matt Slusher on lead acoustic guitar, Fletcher Murchison on mandolin and Morgan Patrick Thompson on upright bass.

The album was recorded LIVE on May 25, 2016 in one session at Signal Hill Recording in Austin. Patrick Herzfeld was behind the glass engineering and mixing. Jerry Tubb from Terra Nova Mastering mastered the album.
