Album Info

Release Date: 2017

Label: One Little Indian

This limited edition box-set contains three remastered, repackaged complete albums of 'Helleborine', 'Century Flower' and 'Humroot', as well as a new nineteen-track bonus disc. The bonus disc includes an unreleased BBC Radio 1 session containing unearthed versions of ‘Cavalry of Cloud’ and ‘Melody of Birth’, as well as a slew of unreleased demos chronicling all three albums, and previously unheard session tracks with Art of Noise’s Anne Dudley (1 featuring Geoffrey Bayldon of Catweazle fame). In addition, the box-set comes packaged with a DVD (6 clips) and an essay penned by Caroline Crawley and Jemaur Tayle (before the untimely death of Caroline) exploring in deeper depth the story that is Shelleyan Orphan. This is the first time that (some of) Shelleyan Orphan’s back catalogue has been compiled together, illuminating the songwriting and vocals skills of one of England’s best baroque-pop purveyors. Also included is a copy of a 2 page handwritten 'letter' by Jemaur which was written after Caroline's untimely passing.

Notes:
Release date is July 2017; 2016 is printed on the box - this set was first proposed in the early 2000s, but was canceled until now.

Although disc one ("Helleborine") has the US album's track order listed, it actually plays with the UK's order.
There are minor typos in the booklet that have been corrected here.
