"Docheri" (“Daughters”) [bbt 007] is the debut album of the experimental Russian group SHORTPARIS (vk.com/shortparis).
Like a picture from the Middle Ages, the record is conceptually divided into two parts and is thus referred to as an audio-diptych.
Sewn from pieces and with different instruments, the album is a duology about sin.
The song order consciously follows the structure of an Ancient Greek tragedy. The tracks sequentially unfold from dance-mannered episodes of the hero to the dramatic choral exode (universal song).
