The front cover is designed around a private photograph of the composer. The cover of the 32-page booklet features a poster from the 1948 première in Köln. The booklet contains notes in German with French and English translations, artists' photographs, photographs from the 1948 Kòln première and a libretto in German only. The libretto is complete, with rectangular frames surrounding the few minor cuts in this 1992 performance.
