It's lockdown music that's taken a while to surface. Not so much file sharing, as file collaging. Initially with total disregard to audio content. Unsurprisingly, that didn't work very well.
For 7 months in 2020, on the 7th day of the month at 7am, Russ and i made sounds at the same time, but in different places. Mostly in our homes. We had no idea what noise the other was making.
The resulting pairs of recordings were then slammed together, as multitracks. Two sets of sounds, recorded simultaneously and played back simultaneously. A not-particularly-clever concept that resulted in 7 pieces, none of which were very engaging.
Subsequently, nine of the recordings have been collaged and shaped into the two pieces here.
