During the recording and assembling of the 360° (A Foundry Project), I was lucky enough to have Seofon introduce me to Kai Mikalsen of the Norwegian band Sketch (2). Kai and his musical partner Tor Jørgensen contributed a fantastic track to the 360° album, and along with the master sent along a disc of remixes they had done from an audio sample of a track I had recorded for the Mote CD. Each remix riffed on the violin line that served as the spine of The Bridge, adding various beats and atmospheres to the mix. I was blown away by the gift, and have loved these tracks ever since. The plan was to feature one of the mixes on a Foundry compilation, but for reasons I cannot now remember, that never happened. I am excited to feature this digital release as part of the Foundry's 30th anniversary, and use these tracks to help raise money to protect San Francisco Bay. Thanks again to Kai and Thor for such letting me hear my own work in an entirely new way. - Michael Bentley"
