Devoted to the production for a long time now, Vojtěch Smetana alias Smeti musically evolved throughout the years, from the industrial-inspired sounds of his former project Anhedonia, later he created contributions for sound banks under the civil name while polishing his own sonic palette and shifted more into club-oriented genres by the time, releasing deep vibes and atmospheric as well as melodic works mainly affected by techno, but with dub, garage, and house influences too...Meanwhile, he was developing and playing live sets, putting out the prior album and a row of EPs as Smeti moniker again, and started the recording process of material for "Unforeseen Events“ after that, when also the fatherhood came in…
The cover artwork, full of prehistoric motifs printed on risograph - a specific technique, outdated but with a very distinctive visual style - is reminding and refers to the ritualistic nature of dance music, same like its animalistic aspects and socialization and celebratory purposes, yet from the dawn of the humanity.
