Released as "image songs" for some girly teenybopper manga series called あでやかにあざみ (Adeyakani Azami) by the author Naomi Nishi. Whatever the f*ck an "image song" is, this single was a tie-up (tine-in??) collaborative release of some sort. The manga series wasn't even that popular. How this punk band that otherwise only released demo tapes and had only been active within the Sapporo area got to get a "major" work like this has been a big mystery to many fans. Their vocalist Kenzi himself has never even officially mentioned anything regarding this 7" in any of his interviews, any story behind the release or as to how they got such a gig like this with Victor (not even after he has reformed Sma-Loco after 30 years, in 2010). One probable theory is that since the manga author is from the city called Mikasa which isn't far from Sapporo city in Hokkaido region, she may have been friends/f-buddies with the band or a fan, so that she asked them to write and record the songs for her. That would perfectly make sense. Perhaps the band members were paid with bj's or something. It's essential to note that Sma-Loco has released a number of studio and live tapes but these two songs that appeared here were never included on any of them, nor have they played these songs live as far as we all know. These songs were most likely written exclusively for this release, and copyrights certainly didn't belong to the band. The music was written by Kenzi and Sma-Loco but the lyrics were actually written by Naomi Nishi.
