Volume 3 of Sonic Youth’s Rarities series features unreleased and hard-to-find studio recordings, mostly instrumental. This collection spans from the group’s first Peel session - recorded remotely from NYC - to demos and rehearsals for our final record, The Eternal.

Track 1:
Recorded in 2008 during sessions for "The Eternal".

Track 2:
From "Made in USA" recording sessions. Recorded at Spinhead Studio, September/October 1986.

Track 3:
Early and extended 4-track demo recorded in 1987 at the basement rehearsal space on Ludlow Street.

Track 9:
Recorded summer 2009 at Jackpot Studios, Portland, OR. Used for the filming and appearance on the TV show "Gossip Girl".
