Composer Spencer Zahn returns with Statues, an all encompassing gatefold double album with art designed by Hana Tajima. Continuing the story from his 2022 full-length Pale Horizon, LP1 of Statues is a collection of forlorn solo piano songs. In its opposite, LP2 weaves woodwinds, upright bass, piano, tape loops and percussion into an experimental work of jazz, R&B and ambient sounds. Collaborations with BlankFor.ms, Chris Bullock, Spencer Ludwig, Booker Stardrum and Jas Walton all help bring Statues to life. The double LP follows 2022's celebrated Pigments, an album created by Spencer and pop powerhouse Dawn Richard.
