The first non american band on Intellectual Convulsion, SPLINTERED are as noisy and hard hitting as any of the previous releases.
Formed from the ashes of PLAYGROUND a legendary noise outfit from the South of England, in mid '89, Splintered imposed themselves as one of the most convincing bands of the English new wave of experimental grunge that spawned out such famous names as GODFLESH, TERMINAL CHEESECAKE and SKULLFLOWER among others. Two limited pressing singles got them exposure and numerous John Peel airplay.
So far only a few people have been lucky enough to witness the mayhem produced on stage by the band, but they will be doing U.K. and European dates to support this release.
