MRM is delighted to release a brand new piece from the prolific sound artist Stefan Schmidt.

'3333' is a free improvisation recorded on the 20th of February 2021 in my home studio.

Instruments/equipment used:

Self-made sound table, ronin (an instrument equipped with guitar strings, a steel spring and a putty designed by the Sardinian instrument maker Massimo Olla), Exagonal Reptile noise box, kalimba, music boxes, objects, analog and digital effects.

Stefan Schmidt is a classical guitarist with a punk rock past. Since 2000 he has immersed himself in the creation of electronic and electroacoustic music ranging from dark ambient to noise to free
improvisation. Since then he has released more than 50 albums exploring the sonic possibilites of different instruments and electronic devices and created music for films, plays, exhibitions and dance performances.
