This score was composed in July 2010 for a documentary Stephen Pytak made about his independent publishing firm. It was titled Driven By The Furies: The Emergence of
Mazz Press. Stephen and musician Soji O recorded the score at Stephen’s home, using an electric guitar owned by Danette Reidler, “The Mazz Press Roadie.” The
tunesmith strummed out themes inspired by the author’s characters, incluing “Corinn,” the low-rent mercenary called The .40 Caliber Mouse; “Stacia” the urban explorer; and the maniacal villain “The Carrion Crow.” Some of the tracks were
included on a soundtrack for the documentary released in 2011. In late 2013, Stephen revisited the original recordings to assemble an expanded CD release. The insert features pictures of Lindsay Marissa as "Stacia" and Victoria Vaughn as "Corinn" and art by Norm Breyfogle.
