Liner notes says that this material was recorded live in the US in 1972: due to the many songs from "Innervisions", however, it seems that it was recorded later, not before 1973.
This live material probably comes from the same tapes, recorded in february 1974 at the Rainbow Theatre in London, from which had been cut Stevie Wonder - Live USA and which has never been officially released by Tamla Motown: so it may have not been recorded neither in 1972 or in the U.S.A.. While we can't really be sure of the source, this certainly isn't a compilation, this is a "live" album.
