Originally planned for a September 1986 release, this album was shelved by RCA at the last minute. In March, 2024, after acquiring the RCA label, Sony Music Entertainment agreed to release it digitally along with the rest of Sylvia's catalog.

"He Talks To Me" was recorded for the album but pulled from the 1986 track listing due to Lorrie Morgan's version and her plans to release it as a single. "Pirate" was recorded in its stead.
