transitions lp is a techno travel ranging from 90’s techno and acid, to more modern electronic works such as those made from musicians like modeselektor, apparat and byetone, mixing different styles of electronic music in a very personal style, melting heavy straight and half step beats with ultra-heavy basslines and hyper-produced mechanical sounds.
this work represents a change of directions in synthe.labo style, a transition from the world of heavy impact breaks to the universe of techno, electro and acid, in some ways a return to the old school of techno, but with a new attitude and the tricks of a very skilled technician.
transitions lp is divided into two parts: part 1 is a 4-tracks vinyl concept released as hydrophonic 18 and it represents the most groovy side of the work for old school turntable djs, whereas part 2 is a 4-tracks digital concept with the most technical side of the work, designed for new school djs and digital mixing devices.
