Album Info

Release Date: 1992

Label: BMW

Promotional CD used at BMW trade shows only. Each soundscape included field recordings of the vehicles in question, to give prospective buyers a pleasurable example of what driving each model of BMW would be like.

Song titles printed as just model numbers on cover; tracklist above is as printed on disc.

Track 1 is an announcer introducing the disc, translated as follows: "This CD was created to allow customers to simulate the driving feel in the cockpit of a BMW car on display in a showroom, and to connect this [experience] to the actual market. Firstly, the 325i, 535i, 750i and 850i were recorded by Cyber-Tech Sound. The four wall-to-wall engine sounds play for approximately 45 seconds. Next, approximately two minutes of cruising music tailored to each model's image is played.

"When using this CD, please note the following points: to bring out the immersive feeling of Cyber-Tech Sound in the cockpit, please gather as much sound as possible on the driver's seat side. The number of each series model and the CD track number are the same. When playing 325i sound, the track number is 3. For the 525i, it will be 5. For the 750i, it will be 7. For the 850i, it will be 8. Be sure to play the track number that matches the model. When playing sounds from multiple models in the same cockpit, be sure to describe the model name."

Tracks 2, 4 and 6 are blank.
