Widely hailed as the greatest concert movie ever made, director Jonathan Demme's celebrated film captures Talking Heads live at Hollywood's Pantages Theatre in December, 1983.
The film's legendary opening sees enigmatic front man David Byrne walk onto an empty stage and launch into a mesmerising, stripped-back rendition of Psycho Killer. With each new song another band member joins him until the Talking Heads are complete and Byrne takes to the stage in the iconic ‘big suit’. Capturing the infectious energy of a unique Talking Heads performance, Stop Making Sense is still the yardstick by which all other concert movies are measured.
