"Tenderhooks" is a ten-track account of love found and lost; a journey in and out of the lonely heart and a collection of the scraps picked up along the way.
From the warm organ beds of "Caughtish" to the forlorn horns of "Reach Out," the grungy edge of "Cinema" to the lush fingerpicking on "Hang Up," it’s an album of many moods and one voice, a bittersweet tonic just in time for flu season.
It’s taken a while to get here. Tenderhooks started as the brainchild of singer and guitarist Marc Deaz (Grandstands/Teamwork). They released the "Headcase" EP as a jangly four-piece in 2018, before growing ambitions led to swelling ranks. Now a seven-piece taking to the stage, a diverse rotating ensemble of musicians and friends brought together in a collaborative spirit.
