Liner Notes:
"Goodbye Oceana" is a title I have had for many years, since 2001. There was a completely different lyric and arrangement back then that eventually became what it is today. I originally took my cue from The Lassie Foundation's Pacifico album, but that style doesn't really suit The Arctic Flow these days. So after messing with it for a few months this spring, it is what it is.

This was recorded at Bay Bliss, but this time the blinds were left open to let the sunlight in. I was surprised at how short it was. The first thing I did was the bass and I guess I didn't count for the second verse because it was supposed to be a little longer, but these things happen.. As usual The Smiths and The Cure were big guitar influences on this one. Do I know anything else, but The Smiths and The Cure?

The b-side, "The Harbour", is something I am really proud of. I've never really used keyboards before,so I was nervous. I first tried to do it on the Horse Shoes cover, so I wanted to bring that sound to The Arctic Flow. I like the fact that it's an instrumental. I like doing instrumentals, but just one at a time. I don't have an attention span for a whole album of those.
There are about 5 different mixes of this song because I could never get it right. Oh well. I hope you enjoy it.
