Seattle´s Ballard Youth Band is the first community band of it´s kind in the United States. Enthusiastic young brass, wind, and percussion musicans are banded together to improve their musicianship. They play for civic and community functions, and for convalescent and retirement homes, providing complimentary musical entertainment while gaining valuable performing experience. BYB Vikings´ founder and conductor, Alf L. Knudsen, who is from Norway, is well known i Seattle music circles as a director and performer.
