"Mattachine! was recorded at Studio Magique, which is really just Greg's apartment (which is actually quite nice) in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York, from fall 2005 to summer 2006, during which time Craig & Greg got their dissertation proposals passed (well, failed, then passed), Marina quit her job, issuing a resounding 'fuck you' to the custom-printed t-shirt industry, and Ginger was perpetually either on her way to or back from Canada".
